Director: Andrew Shea, Melissa Shea
Set in the small farming community of Three Oaks, Michigan—home to the nation’s largest Flag Day parade—Flag Day is a verité portrait of ritual, identity, and belonging in a time of deep division. Over one weekend each June, the film follows a cross-section of townspeople—veterans, business owners, marching bands, and volunteers—as they prepare for a tradition that is both nostalgic and reflective of the present moment.
Through an observational lens, their stories reveal the beauty and fragility of community life, asking what still binds us together.
